Social Networking
Turns out, I’m able to do just about everything online (for free) that I used to buy software to do and the social aspect of these sites make it even more fun and interesting. Here are a few of my favorite Web 2.0 sites:
- facebook.com - let’s me stay in touch with friends old and new
- TripIt - I use this to track all my travel intenerary info. Before, I had to aggregate emails from travel agents, airlines, hotels, car rental agencies, etc. Add them to my calendar and try to make sense of it all. Now, I just forward all those emails to TripIt and the site does all the hard work.
- expens’d - integrates with TripIt and allows me to track all my business expenses online.
- Yelp - ever gotten home from a trip and couldn’t remember the name of that great restaurant? Well, here you go.
- Remember The Milk - this one keeps me sane. This is an on-line to-do list. You can email it tasks, it emails you reminders. It’s awesome!
Gotta admit, I just don’t get twitter. I want to, but don’t.
